Although you have registered with Bybit, your situation will change over time. Maybe your phone number has changed, your email address has changed, or you might even want to change your password. I’m writing an article about the change procedure when it’s like that.
E-mail address change
Changing your email address is not possible on Bybit until you have completed two-factor authentication. If you forget your registered email address, or if you want to reset it to a frequently used email address, you will need to create a new account until the two-step verification is completed.
You can change your email address after 2-step verification is completed. It’s easy to use. Click the avatar mark from the home screen and click “Account & Security”.
You can change it by pressing the “Change Email Address” button to the right of Email Authentication. Enter the necessary information such as new email address, new email verification code, old email verification code, SMS verification and Google verification. After entering the verification code, the change will be reflected.
change phone number
You can change your phone number. You can add as well as change. It’s easy to use. Click the avatar mark from the home screen and click “Account & Security”.
It is possible to change or add by pressing the “change” button on the right of mobile phone SMS authentication. Please do this when your phone number changes.
You can change your password. Click the avatar mark from the home screen and click “Account & Security”.
You can change it by pressing the “Change” button to the right of the password.
When changing your password, you can enter your current password and set a new password. Please note that if you change your password, withdrawals will be restricted within 24 hours.
Points to note regarding changes
Please note the following regarding changes to your email address, phone number, password, etc.
If you enter false information and register, there is a risk that you will be penalized if it is discovered by the management side. Therefore, please be sure to enter the information as accurately and truthfully as possible. Nothing good will come of it since you will only be taking risks.
If you have already been penalized in some way, it is very likely that your account has been frozen in the first place. In that case, you will not be able to log in to your account, so you will not be able to edit your information. First of all, you have no choice but to try to negotiate with the support center in order to have the freeze lifted.
In some cases, your account may be hijacked by a third party. In this case, there is a high possibility that you will not be able to log in to your account. In this case, we recommend that you contact the support center as soon as possible.
